Phil J. Martelly is the fifth generation of carpenters in the Martelly family of Swansea, Massachusetts. After extensively learning the trade working alongside his grandfather and uncles, Phil started his own construction company in 2003 and has earned a reputation for great customer service and quality craftsmanship ever since. Currently, five Martelly family members are a part of the Martelly Building & Design team and strive to keep its reputation of excellence alive for more generations to come.

Kevin is a licensed contractor supervisor and the Project Manager at MBD. He has worked in the residential and commercial construction trade for 20 years and although Kevin isn’t a Martelly family member, he’s been with Phil since 2006 and feels like one. He likes to spend his free time with is wife Ali and their two daughters.

Pete Martelly is the lead designer at MBD. He is Phil’s cousin and part of the fifth generation of carpenters in the Martelly family in Swansea, MA. Pete has been part of the MDB team since 2006. He graduated with a degree In Engineered Computer-Aided Drafting and he specializes in structural design, load calculations and building codes. He spends his free time listening to music and enjoying time with his wife & two children.

John Martelly is head of excavation at MBD. John drove his first bulldozer at the age of eight. By the time he was 10 he could operate a backhoe and by 12 he could drive a dump truck. Today, John controls the excavation division of MBD. He holds Hoisting Engineer Licenses in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and is also a Rhode Island underground utility contractor. He is a certified installer of multiple alternative septic systems and he holds an FAA certified Rotorpilot License.
